On Monday, June 28, 2021, the University of Zakho held a virtual meeting with the University of Kurdistan in Iran to enhance academic and cultural cooperation between the two universities. The participants from the University of Zakho were Prof. Dr. Yassin Taha Mustafa-Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Karwan F. Sami-Vice President of the University for Student Affairs, Dr. Saber Haji Selim- Director of International Relations, and Mr. Hazhir Karim-a faculty member in the Department of Environmental Sciences.

 The meeting discussed extending bridges of cooperation between the two universities, creating opportunities for cultural exchange for students and faculty members, participating in scientific activities, focusing on holding lectures and periodic meetings, and enhancing academic and research cooperation.
